Cupcake Challenge!

Hello & Happy Saturday.

I am finally back after my birthday week celebration with a new card!

As some of you may already know, every weekend over at Taylor's Blog, is a brand new cupcake layout challenge.... lots of fun, and this weekend was the first in awhile (a long while) that I have had the time to participate.

Here was this weeks sketch:

When I first saw the sketch last night, I knew exactly what stamp I was going to use, but the rest of the layout made me have to think a little harder.... I finally decided to emboss a strip of swiss dots, and randomly colour a select few.

I really like the look (well, besides the fact that I was out of dryer sheets, so its not exactly the cleanest embossing ever!)

Then I popped up my image and sentiment with foam squares, and voila... the finished card:

Father's Day Card

Hello and Happy Monday!

I know fathers day was yesterday, but I had to wait til now to upload the card I made for my dad to keep it a secret.

Its a fairly simple card, where i masked the edges of the card and, using sponges, daubed chalk ink in the rectangle to make the 'sky'.... then I simply cut and layered the pieces to make the golf green.

Inside, on my computer, I picked out the little golfer image from my clipart catalog (which oddly bares a striking resembalance to my dad) and added the sentiment.

I then printed it out and coloured in the little guy with my prisma markers!

New Card

Hello and Happy Friday!

Finally got a chance to sit down and make a quick little card, this one being perfectly suited for a new little arrival (not that I know anyone who is expecting, but I just felt like making a baby card.)

This was a super easy card to throw together, and while its a layout I have used a hundred times, I changed it a little by 'striping' the card stock...

Anyways on with the card (you can't really tell by the pic, but the image is actually popped up on pop dots)
